Mission and major goals
We at the Iranian Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Scientific Association consider ourselves obligated to fulfill three basic missions:
1. Improving specialized knowledge and skills
By holding refresher courses, advanced practical workshops, national and international congresses, and specialized journal clubs, we provide a dynamic platform for members to update their information and familiarize them with the latest technologies in the world (such as interventional endoscopy, EUS, ERCP, and advanced polypectomy).
2. Networking and benefiting from collective wisdom
As a bridge between veteran professors and talented young people, we believe that medical progress depends on the exchange of ideas and scientific synergy. By forming specialized committees and consulting with elites, the association provides the basis for discovering new talents and guiding them, while benefiting from the unique abilities of prominent professors of gastroenterology and hepatology.
3. Patient-centeredness and improving treatment standards
At the heart of all our activities are our dear patients who entrust their health to the capable hands of the medical community. By developing standard clinical protocols, promoting medical ethics, and emphasizing minimally invasive and precise methods, we strive to increase the lifespan and quality of life of patients while minimizing treatment costs and complications from invasive procedures.

Our vision
The vision of the Iranian Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Society is to become a scientific reference center in the field of endoscopy in the Middle East and to gain a worthy position in international forums. We intend to provide a platform for the strong presence of Iranian experts in international arenas and the transfer of up-to-date knowledge to the country by developing scientific relations with reputable global associations (such as ASGE and ESGE).
